Introduction to Payment Gateway Features:

Payment gateway features in TallyPrime 3.0 allow you to integrate popular payment gateways with your accounting software. This integration enables you to send payment requests to your customers and automatically reconcile the received payments with your ledger accounts.

2. Setting up Payment Gateway Integration:

  • Step 1: Open TallyPrime 3.0 and navigate to the “Gateway of Tally.”

  • Step 2: Go to “F11: Features” and enable the payment gateway integration feature.

  • Step 3: Select the payment gateway provider you wish to integrate with (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay).

  • Step 4: Enter the required credentials provided by your payment gateway provider, such as API keys, secret keys, and merchant IDs.

3. Creating Payment Requests:

  • Step 1: From the main menu, navigate to “Gateway of Tally” > “Accounts Info” > “Ledger.”

  • Step 2: Create or select the ledger account for which you want to create a payment request.

  • Step 3: In the ledger details, you’ll find an option to “Create Payment Request.” Enter the necessary details, including the customer’s email or phone number, payment amount, and due date.

  • Step 4: Save the payment request. TallyPrime will generate a unique payment link or QR code that can be shared with your customer.

Reconciliation of Payment Gateway Transactions:

  • Step 1: As payments are made by customers using the payment link or QR code, TallyPrime will automatically fetch the transaction details from the payment gateway.

  • Step 2: To reconcile the transactions, go to “Gateway of Tally” > “Banking” > “Reconcile Bank Statement.”

  • Step 3: Match the fetched payment transactions with the corresponding payment requests you created earlier.

  • Step 4: TallyPrime will mark the payment request as paid and update the ledger account with the received payment amount.

5. Generating Reports:

TallyPrime provides various reports to help you keep track of your payment gateway transactions:

  • Payment Gateway Transaction Report
  • Outstanding Payment Requests
  • Reconciliation Summary

You can access these reports from the “Gateway of Tally” > “Display” menu.

6. Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Ensure that the payment gateway credentials are entered correctly.
  • Regularly update your TallyPrime software to ensure compatibility with the latest payment gateway APIs.
  • Check for any error messages in case transactions are not being reconciled correctly.
